We recognise that consideration for the environment is an integral part of our commercial operations. We look to work as efficiently as possible and urge our staff to consider the environmental impact of their actions.
The development of efficient re-cycling is absolutely essential to our industry. At Polybags, we collect all plastic waste material where the resources consumed in collecting and re-cycling are less than the resources freed by the re-use. Plastic waste is then pelletised and re-extruded in-house to produce re-cycled film that customers are encouraged to purchase.
We also look to minimise waste in the production process by improving our operational procedures and quality control. In addition, we support the trend to down-gauging wherever possible, especially through the use of linear and other materials to improve the properties of the film.
In conjunction with the Metropolitan University Polybags has developed its own range of eco-friendly packaging made out of potato starch to offer a range of truly green products. Eco-friendly packaging products include biodegradable bin bags, biodegradable carrier bags and even biodegradable mailing bags.
We also have the facility to manufacture any type of custom biodegradable packaging for you such as printed carrier bags. Carrier bags have traditionally been a great and cheap way for companies to advertise their products, but in modern times carriers are regarded as an environmental pariah by some; however right or wrong this view, the option to promote your organisation and simultaneously demonstrate your social responsibility is becoming an increasingly attractive alternative. If you would like to find our more about our manufacturing process and the environmentally-green packaging alternatives please see our guide to environmental plastics.
Apart from the obvious reductions in paper use given by offering an online packaging shop, Polybags also operates an eco-friendly website and web development strategy.
