For a permanent seal, please leave this mailing bag at room temperature for several hours once sealed. Due to the compostable nature of the material, the bag's adhesive peel and seal strip is only semi-permanent on initial sealing.

Compostable standard EN13432 - what it tells us

This compostable mailing bag conforms to standard EN13432 for compostable packaging. This means that:

• Within six months, at least 90% of its material will biodegrade into carbon dioxide (CO2), water and minerals
• After 12 weeks, at least 90% of the degraded bag must pass through a 2x2mm mesh
• The material does not exceed limits for volatile matter, fluorine and 10 heavy metals
• The material does not adversely affect the quality of compost to which it is added

Where to store compostable mailers

Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight, humidity, moisture or direct heat sources. Use within 12 months.

How to dispose of black compostable mailing bags

Suitable for organic recycling only. Place these bags - and suitable contents - in your food waste bin or domestic compost. If these are not possible, please place in the regular domestic waste. These bags are not suitable for plastic recycling.
