How to seal this mailing bag - important note
For a permanent seal, please seal this mailing bag and leave at room temperature for several hours before posting. Due to the bag's compostable nature, the adhesive peel and seal strip is only semi-permanent on initial contact sealing.

Compostable standard EN13432 - what does it measure?
This mailing bag conforms to EN13432 - the European standard for compostability, This means it complies with the following requirements:
- 90% of material (minimum) must biodegrade into carbon dioxide (CO2), water and minerals within six months
- Material must degrade into small pieces so that, after 12 weeks, at least 90% of it can pass through a 2x2mm mesh
- Material conforms to limits for fluorine, volatile matter and 10 heavy metals
- Adding this packaging to compost does not affect compost quality (as per ecotoxicity tests)

To maximise shelf life, please store these compostable mailers away from direct sunlight, humidity or any heat sources and use within 12 months.
Black compostable mailers - how to dispose
Please dispose of these compostable mailing bags in your food waste bin, as they are best suited to industrial compost. They can also be placed in domestic compost, although the composting process will take longer. If composting is not possible, please place in your regular domestic waste. Not suitable for recycling.
