The compostable nature of this mailing bag means that its adhesive peel and seal strip is only semi-permanent on initial contact sealing. For a permanent seal, please leave the mailing bag at room temperature for several hours before posting.

EN13432 - the compostable standard and what it tells us

This mailing bag conforms to the European compostable standard EN13432, which means it meets the following requirements:

• After 12 weeks, the bag must have broken down into small pieces so that at least 90% of it passed through a 2x2mm mesh
• Within six months, at least 90% of the bag must break down (into CO2, water and minerals)
• The material conforms to strict limits on volatile matter, fluorine and 10 heavy metals
• The material must not adversely affect compost quality once added

How to store these black compostable mailers

Please store these mailing bags in a cool, dry place and use within 12 months. Exposure to sunlight, humidity, heat sources or moisture can reduce this shelf life.

How should I dispose of compostable packaging?

Please dispose of this bag in your food waste collection or home compost. If these are not possible, place in your regular domestic waste collect. Not suitable for recycling.
