Important: how to seal this compostable mailing bag
On initial sealing, this mailing bag's adhesive seal will only be semi-permanent, due to the compostable material involved. For a fully permanent seal, the bag should be left at room temperature for several hours before posting.

- Co-extruded ivory white mailing bag with dark inner layer ensuring bag contents can not be seen.
- Sender address box, disposal instructions and suffocation warning notice all printed on envelope flap.
- Compostable polymer blend with a minimum renewable content share of 30%.
- Meets EN13432 - the European compostability standard (see below).
- Will disintegrate within 12 weeks and biodegrade within six months in an industrial composting unit.
- Also suitable for home composting, although process will take longer (composting time will depend on local conditions).
- Printed with the message 'Compostable - For a better world...' alongside a compostable leaf logo.

EN13432 - the European compostable standard
This mailing bag meets the following industrial composting standards, in accordance with EN13432:
- Within six months, 90% or more of the bag's material will biodegrade into CO2, water and minerals
- Within 12 weeks, at least 90% will break down into pieces that can fit through a 2x2mm mesh
- The material must meet strict limits for volatile matter, fluorine and 10 heavy metals, including copper, mercury and lead
- It must also pass ecotoxicity tests to show that compost quality is not adversely affected by the material
Compostable mailing bags - how to store
Please store these compostable mailing bags in a cool dry place - away from direct heat sources, sunlight, humidity or moisture - and use within 12 months.
How to dispose of these compostable mailing bags
Organic recycling only. After their primary use, these bags can be used to collect organic waste and then be disposed of in your food waste bin or a domestic compost heap. If neither of these is possible, please place in regular domestic waste. Not suitable for plastic recycling.
