Industrial composting standard EN13432
The material used to make this product conforms to EN13432 - the European standard for industrial composting. This means that:
- 90% of the material will disintegrate into small pieces (max 2mm x 2mm) within 12 weeks of disposal
- The material will biodegrade into CO2, water and biomass within six months of disposal (90% CO2 output level vs control sample)
- The material passes strict ecotoxicity tests and adheres to strict limits for heavy metal content
How should I store this compostable bag?
We recommend that this packaging is stored in a cool, dry place to maximise its shelf life. Keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture and humidity and use within 12 months.
How should I dispose of this compostable bag?
Once finished with, please dispose of this product in your food waste bin, ideally, or a domestic compost heap. This bag is not suitable for polythene recycling.
