Made from Nativia film, certified OK Biobased by TUV Austria.
A minimum 80% of this product's content comes from a renewable, bio-based source.
100% compostable in line with standard EN13432.
Simple to close thanks to an integral peel & seal strip; also heat-sealable.
Safe to use with food.

Composting standard EN13432

This bag is made from compostable film which is in accordance with standard EN13432:

Packaging must break down into small pieces, with 90% or more able to pass through a 2x2mm mesh after 12 weeks
90% or more of the bag's material must break down into CO2, water and biomass within six months
Material must meet safe limits for 10 heavy metals - including lead and mercury - plus fluorine and volatile matter
Eco-toxicity tests must find that the material does not adversely affect the quality of any compost it is added to

Compostable peel & seal bags - storage instructions

To maintain product quality during storage, please store these bags in their original packaging, in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources or direct sunlight. Use within 12 months.

End-of-life options for compostable peel & seal bags

After use, please dispose of this product in your food waste bin, if available (check local recycling options), as it is designed to biodegrade in industrial composting conditions within 12 weeks. Also suitable for home composting, but this will most likely take longer (timescales vary depending on disposal conditions).
