EN13432 - the industrial composting standard

The film used to make this product fully meets standard EN13432:

• Packaging must decompose into tiny pieces so that, after 12 weeks, 90% or more can pass through a 2x2mm mesh
• 90% or more of materials must break down into CO2, water and biomass within six months
• Packaging must meet safety limits for fluorine, volatile matter and 10 heavy metals, including copper, lead and mercury
• Material should not adversely affect compost quality, as determined by ecotoxicity tests

Please store these bags in a cool, dry place, in their original packaging, away from direct sunlight to ensure product quality is maintained. Use within 12 months.

How to dispose of compostable peel & seal bags after use

Please place this product in your food waste bin after use, if available (check local recycling options), as it will break down in industrial composting conditions within 12 weeks. Also suitable for home composting, although timescales will vary depending on disposal conditions (most likely longer than 12 weeks).
