European compostable standard EN13432

The material used to make this bag is fully compostable in accordance with standard EN13432 (industrial composting):

• Material must decompose into tiny pieces so that, after 12 weeks, at least 90% can pass through a 2x2mm mesh
• At least 90% of material must break down into CO2, water and biomass within six months
• Material must conform to safety limits for volatile matter, fluorine and 10 heavy metals, including copper, zinc and mercury
• Packaging should not affect compost quality, as determined by ecotoxicity tests

Product storage information - compostable bags

To ensure the quality of this product is maintained during storage, please store in its original wrapping in a cool, dry place, away from any local heat source or direct sunlight. Use within 12 months.

How to dispose of compostable peel & seal bags

This product will biodegrade in industrial composting conditions within 12 weeks, so please place it in your organic/food waste collection bin, if available (check locally for recycling options). Also suitable for home composting, although timescales may vary and will most likely take longer than 12 weeks.
