Compostable standard EN13432

This bag is fully compostable according to the EN13432 industrial composting standard:

• Material must break down into pieces so that, after 12 weeks, at least 90% of it can pass through a 2x2mm mesh
• At least 90% of material must biodegrade into CO2, water and biomass within six months
• Material must conform to limits for volatile matter, fluorine and 10 heavy metals, including copper, zinc and lead
• Packaging should not affect the quality of compost to which it is added, as determined by ecotoxicity tests

Important product storage information - compostable bags

To maintain the high quality of this product during storage, we recommended that bags are stored in their original wrapping, in a cool, dry place, away from any local heat source or direct sunlight. Use within 12 months.

Compostable peel & seal bag - disposal options

This product is designed to biodegrade in industrial composting conditions within 12 weeks, in line with EN13432 (see above), so please place in your organic/food waste bin if available (check locally for recycling options). Also suitable for home composting, though timescales will vary and will likely take longer than 12 weeks.
