The adhesive peel and seal strip on this compostable mailing bag is only semi-permanent on initial contact sealing. For a permanent seal, please leave the sealed bag at room temperature for several hours before posting.

C5 compostable green mailing bag - features

• Sender address box, safety warning notice and disposal instructions printed on the sealable flap.
• Compostable bag conforms to European standard EN13432 (see below).
• Disintegrates in industrial composting in less than 12 weeks; biodegrades in less than six months.
• Also suitable for home composting, although this process will take longer.
• Compostable polymer blend with a minimum renewable content share of 30%.

EN13432 - The compostable packaging standard

This mailing bag conforms to EN13432 - the compostable packaging standard (industrial composting). This means:

• Within 12 weeks, at least 90% of the bag will break down into tiny pieces that fit through a 2x2mm mesh
• Within six months, 90% or more of the bag will break down into CO2, water and minerals
• The bag's material does not exceed strict limits for fluorine, volatile matter and 10 heavy metals, including copper, mercury and lead
• The bag passes ecotoxicity tests and will not adversely affect compost quality

Storage instructions - Compostable mailers

Store these mailing bags in a cool, dry place, away from heat sources, sunlight and humidity. Use within 12 months.

Compostable packaging - how to dispose

You can dispose of these compostable bags in your food waste bin (industrial compost) or a domestic compost heap. If neither option is available to you, please place in your regular domestic waste. Not suitable for recycling.
