This kitchen caddy liner conforms to industrial composting standard EN13432. This means that 90% of its material will disintegrate in tiny pieces (max 2mm x 2mm) within 12 weeks, whilst 90% of it must biodegrade - into water, CO2 and biomass - within six months in industrial composting conditions.
The product also meets strict criteria on compost quality and meets stringent safety levels for toxic elements, including fluoride and 10 heavy metals.
To maintain the quality of compostable caddy liners, please store them in a cool, dry place, in their original packaging, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight. Use within 12 months.
These caddy liners are designed to completely break down in industrial composting conditions (as per EN13432), so please dispose of them in your food waste bin, along with their contents.
The bags can also be home composted, but this process will take longer and will not meet EN13432 biodegradation timescales (time will vary according to composting conditions).
If composting is not available, please throw this bag in your regular domestic waste, as it is not suitable for recycling.
