Where can I recycle my packaging?
As a responsible packaging supplier, Polybags is committed to minimising the environmental impact of the packaging that we produce.
We want to help our customers dispose of any packaging correctly at the end of its life-cycle, by providing the relevant information for them to do so.
What can I recycle?
If your polythene bag features this logo - as most of ours do - then it is suitable for recycling. If your local recycling collection doesn't include polythene bags, our
recycling locator tool (below) will help you find your nearest plastic bag recycling point (UK only).
What can't I recycle?
All
compostable bags should not be recycled. These should be placed in your food waste bin (with food contents) where they will be sent to an industrial composting facility. These bags can also go in your home composting, but the composting process will take longer.
Our
biotransformation bags are suitable for recycling during the product's service life (12 months from date of purchase provided the bags are stored correctly). Bio-T bags can be recycled with traditional polythene bags in the same recycling streams.
Our
bio-additive bags can be recycled until they start to degrade. At this point, they are no longer suitable for recycling and should be placed in your regular rubbish bin. They will break down in the upper levels of landfill quicker than regular polythene.
