Smart brown kraft paper outer layer.
Polylactic Acid (PLA) inner layer - made from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane.
Suitable for food contact.
Squeeze-tight seal to keep produce fresh.
Resealable pouch - use over and over again.
Suitable for a wide range of produce, including dried foods, powders, confectionery, tea & coffee and more.
Bottom-gusseted base allows the product to stand up independently on the shelf.

Compostable stand-up pouch (100-150ml) - product structure

This pouch is made from 60gsm brown kraft paper laminated to 60-micron thick Polylactic Acid (PLA) to offer a pouch that is compostable.

PLA is typically made using renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane. This material conforms to the EN13432 standard for industrial composting.

Compostable stand-up pouch (100-150ml) - storage instructions

These pouches must be stored in their original packaging in a cool, dark place, as exposure to direct heat, sunlight or moisture can reduce their shelf life.

Our compostable products have a maximum shelf life of 12 months as standard, as the polymers used are designed to structurally break down and decompose after this point.

These compostable pouches are suitable for disposal in an industrial composting facility. Please always check with your local authority to see if they accept compostable packaging in their organic recycling.
