The Plastic Packaging Tax (PPT) is applicable to all plastic products that do not contain a minimum of 30% recycled plastic.
Plastic products that contain at least 30% recycled content are exempt from the PPT.
Polybags has for many years produced a range of products made from 100%-recycled material, including mailing bags, waste bags and sacks and clear packing bags.
We have also created a brand new range of products containing a minimum of 30%-recycled content, to offer customers a recycled, PPT-exempt alternative to a range of regular products.
Look out for the 'PPT Exempt' icon as you shop. We also apply the icon to all non-plastic products in our catalogue, which are always exempt from the PPT.
Polybags has prepaid the PPT on all products that contain less than 30% recycled content.
